How long have you been providing clinical supervision?/ What are the requirements?
I have provided formal clinical supervision since 2017. I received training from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work's continuing education department. I have experience as an agency based supervisor since 2015.
As a clinical supervisor in the state of Texas, I am required to obtain a minimum of 40 hours of formal training and ongoing continuing education specifically related to clinical supervision.
In addition, I am legally and ethically responsible for care and services each supervisee provides whether they are in a private or agency-based setting.
Additional liability insurance, HIPPA compliant EHR, and a secure meeting space are maintained by me.

What can I expect from supervision under you and what therapeutic skills will you teach me?
You can expect a judgement free space. I provide a private and collaborative atmosphere to facilitate authentic discussions. I introduce multiple techniques to encourage supervisees to explore modalities that best suite their personal and professional values. Each month, I spend time reviewing literature and gathering materials to plan topics relevant to the development of clinical skills.
3
What is the cost?
The cost for clinical supervision is $40 an hour or $160 a month. I provide a minimum of 4 hours a month for all supervisees in a group format. This allows participants to meet the requirement of 100 hours of clinical supervision over a two-year period as outlined by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council.
4
What additional services are covered in the cost?
I am available to my supervisee’s outside of scheduled meeting times. This includes email, text, calls, and counsel for documentation review or urgent ethical dilemmas. In addition, I am available for continued counsel and professional reference for all supervisee's who complete supervision with me.
5
Will my agency or employer pay for supervision?
This is on a case by case basis. If you have an employer that requires you to have clinical supervision to carry out your job duties but does not offer this service, I encourage you to bring this up to your direct supervisor or HR department.
